It’s been a month since my babe, his parents and I went to Tenerife and I finally found the time to write this blog post for you guys. I’ve been doing a lot of modeling work lately, if you follow me on Instagram you know what I’ve been up to.
Last summer we didn’t go on holiday so we couldn’t have been more happier to go to Tenerife during winter time. It was the perfect winter break as the average temperature was around 22°C in February. We did a lot of fun things that it is impossible to share everything in one post. So I decided to dedicate this blog post to our great boat trip with Boataffair in Costa Adeje.
I arrived at Tenerife on February 17 and I totally had no idea that the temperature would be so high already. I flew a day later then my hubby and his parents because I had to do some important work first. I had TV-recordings and I also had a fashion show of a Belgian bikini brand Ocean Couture, where I became an ambassador for in July 2017.
For my father in law’s birthday I decided that I want to give him a beautiful experience instead of an expensive present. So I came up with the idea to arrange a boat trip in Tenerife because he has a great passion for boats. I stumbled across the Instagram page of Boataffair and BINGO.
Boataffair is a boat matchmaking company that matches quality boats with the right persons. It’s an online platform where boat seekers and boat owners can meet. Boataffair really focusses on experience. You’re not sitting on a tourist boat squeezed like sardines, instead you are surrounded by family and friends on a private yacht.
After a few chats with Adrian Walker, owner & CEO of Boataffair, I was very surprised that he could arrange a boat trip for us so last-minute. Adrian is very kind and the communication went very smoothly.
We really picked out the most beautiful day during our 1-week vacay as there were no clouds, the sun was shining and the sea was very calm. My father in law (Dirk) totally had no clue what we were going to do. I kept it a secret till the very last moment.
So on February 20, we were expected to be at Puerto Colón at 10 am. When we arrived at the port, Dirk’s heart was bouncing and he became a little nervous. We walked down to the boats and there was the surprise! A beautiful Galeon 390 Fly, tip-top in shape for a fun day on the water with family. Dirk started hugging us immediately and couldn’t be more happier!
Once aboard we were welcomed warmly by our captain Eduardo with a glass of champagne. He did a little introduction and told us what we could expect of the 3-hour boat trip.
First we did dolphin & wale watching. Our captain was really knowledgable about the area and showed us his secret places where to find a lot of wonderful sea animals. It was ridiculous how many dolphins we saw jumping next to the yacht! Even the captain said it was absolutely something he had never seen before. We were really impressed by the amount of wild dolphins and wales swimming really close to us. It’s almost as if you can touch them and I think they are so cute that I felt like jumping in the water and hugging them haha.
After that he took us to a cute little bay called El Puertito, where he stopped the boat. There Eduardo offered us some delicious tapas and again our glasses were getting filled with champagne or beer for the guys.
We stayed there for a while and our hubbies were snorkeling and diving in the crystal water while me and my second mom were tanning on the fly bridge and snapping beautiful pictures!
The Galeon 390 Fly was very clean and comfortable. The space was perfect for two couples, although there could definitely be me more people aboard. I just like to have a lot of space ;). Upstairs you had a large saloon and leather lounge to lie on. In the middle a round table to put your drinks on. Downstairs was a another saloon with a big dining table where the food was served.
Then it was time to go back.. But Eduardo knew perfectly how to create an awesome atmosphere aboard by turning up the music. We started dancing and we were making so much fun! I am very glad that our captain stopped the boat plenty of times for us to make sure we got good pictures and videos of the dolphins and wales.
You really need to experience this if visiting Tenerife! We would definitely go back again and I strongly recommend this unforgettable, amazing and unique experience!
Thanks Boataffair !
